What People Feel

"Recently renovated to accommodate more customers. Expected waiting times on a Saturday night. Coffee and food were above average but getting pricier. Loved their cheese burger and bangus belly. One of the best Panoramic views of the city and Laguna de bay. There’s an unpleasant sewerage smell if you’re seated at the end of the cafe plus the toilet for men needs adjustment in between the urinal."

"Decided to celebrate my birthday with my partner and my cousin… it was so worth it even if it was far from where we live. The place was cozy and the view was really beautiful in the afternoon, especially at night. All the food we ordered was delicious, even the iced coffee. The service was great, 10/10. Thank you Ms. Mae and Sir Chapz . Will definitely come back.”"

"We had a lovely dinner and coffee date at Escalera Café in Eastridge, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The café offers both air-conditioned indoor dining and an alfresco area with an overlooking view. We chose the alfresco section and enjoyed the cool breeze and relaxed atmosphere. For food, we ordered their House Special Bagnet Kare-Kare, which was rich, nutty, and perfectly suited to my husband’s taste. We also tried their coolers—the hibiscus guyabano was refreshing and unique. I personally enjoyed the truffle cream pasta and hot macchiato, both of which did not disappoint in flavor. We also had the fish and chips with tartar sauce, which was well-cooked and satisfying. The service was very good, and the background music gave a calm, hotel-lobby vibe. Some areas of the café were still undergoing overnight renovation, but it did not affect our dining experience. One thing we appreciated was the spacious parking area, which is a big plus compared to other cafés in the area that only offer street parking. The place itself has a colonial-Victorian feel, with a central entrance, fountain, and a one-way access. You may also enter by going down a staircase from the street, which adds to the charm of the place. Overall, Escalera Café is a great spot for a relaxed meal, coffee, and a scenic view."

"The place is good and staffs are friendly . However , i find that drinks are too sweet and must have a service water. Also , must have a lot of options to add to menu like snacks for sharing . Menu are more on burgers and pasta and rice . Should have more options to have snacks or pica pica menu for sharing , must have cakes or pastries since escalera is known as a coffee shop. So far , it is still a good experience accomodating staff and view is beautiful"

"Found this gem while looking for a place to catch the sunset, and it’s totally worth it! Since we aren’t big on coffee (hello, palpitations!), we tried their frappes instead. We got the Ube Cheesecake, which is apparently a bestseller, and I totally get why. It’s a really smooth combo and actually tastes like real ube—plus, it wasn't sickly sweet, which I appreciated. We also grabbed a Chocolate Frappe which was solid and hit the spot. We were still pretty full from earlier, so we just shared the Fish and Chips. I loved how crunchy the fish was and also the fries! It’s refreshing to find a 'view cafe' where the food actually feels fresh rather than overpriced and stale. We’re already planning to come back to try the rest of the menu!"
